ELKON's 120 m³/h Compact Concrete Mixing Plant at the North Atlantic

Authorities from one of the biggest construction companies of Faroe Islands carrying out many road and port constructions, wind farm constructions, earthwork and sewage projects all over the islands came to Istanbul in mid-January of 2020 to visit ELKON’s very famous technological factories. During factory visit, besides seeing and touching our approach to this business, the guests explained their requirement to our experienced team to have their advices about the decision on the concrete batching plant type and the specs most correctly. 

The concrete plant is equipped with high pressure automated twin shaft mixer washout system to ease the cleaning job significantly and increase the life of the wearing parts inside the mixer. Moreover, water amount of the final mixture is controlled by means of the moisture probe put in the twin shaft mixer.

The company has just started running the concrete plant for thier wind farm project. After completion of this project, the plan is moving the concrete plant to the new construction site. The new construction site will be the underwater highway construction project connecting most of the islands to one another.
