Precast Concrete Plant for Rooftile Factory

ELKON, with 41 years of experience and the ability to design, produce and install precast concrete batching plants designed to produce high quality conrete suitable for different applications, becomes a business partner with leading brick manufacturer in Turkey for their new investment to produce concrete rooftile. The required concrete can be produced without any need for human interfererence by fully automated production line that the rooftile machine is connected to the Elkomix-60 PL precast concrete batching plant which was specially designed according to the customer jobsite area.

The sand used in the concrete production must range between 0-4 mm. In order to prevent any harm that may be caused by big size aggregate if it get inside the rooftile extruder and to ensure the product quality, a screener was added to the aggregate prefeeding system.

A second discharge gate is added to the 1500/1000 l. planetary mixer of Elkomix-60 PL concrete batching plant by which the concrete can be supplied as required to the concrete tile machine along with the concrete accessory machine. Due to the continuous concrete production and the fully automated tile extruder, there is a need for continous concrete

feeding. In order to achive this, a concrete holding hopper is located right under the mixer discharge chute. In order to be able to provide the exact required quantity, the concrete holding hopper is equipped with inverter controlled feeding conveyor.

Thanks to ELKON’s specially developed concrete production software, the moisture level in the produced concrete can be precisely controlled. One of the aggregate compartment discharge throat is equipped with the accurate weighing gate equipped with elastic suspension system which is recently developed by ELKON engineers and patented. Thus from this aggregate compartment, the desired quantity of the fine sand can be weighted with the maximum accuracy.

The specially designed Elkomix-60 PL concrete batching plant with concrete transfer system to rooftile machine and accessory machine were commissioned by ELKON engineers succesfully. Again ELKON shows its experience and design capabilities by providing this specially designed precast concrete plant and fullfil project requirements.
