Special Sites Require Only Reliable Approach: ELKON Plants In The Construction Of Nuclear Facilities In Russia

PO Mayak, which is a part of the Rosatom structure and produces components  for the nuclear industry, is a key enterprise in the Russian nuclear power industry. The organization is a huge complex of interrelated manufacturing facilities consisting of several workshops and factories. As a part of a large-scale modernization and renovation of production facilities, the company acquired two high-capacity stationary concrete batching plants ELKOMIX-135. The plants’ configuration is designed to meet the conditions of the site and customer’s requirements: aggregate storage bins of 4x20 cu m were specially designed to be embedded into the ground and are in line with the plant. The high performance of the plants that is 120 cu m of concrete mixture per hour each, 240 cu m in total, is provided by aggregate storage hoppers and high-tech twin-shaft mixers with a capacity of 4500/3000 l each. The required cement supply is stored in three silos of 450 tons in total.Two stationary plants were successfully commissioned and are supplying the site with high-quality concrete.
