ELKON proudly announces the commissioning of the new concrete batching plant for the production of concrete pipes, which is the second concrete plant for its Australian customer. For a new factory in the city of Melbourne, the customer chose the tailor made precast concrete batching plant ELKOMIX-90 PL, configuration of which resembles the plant installed in Sydney as the first of the customer, who is a major player in the market of precast productions of the country.

Starting up on schedule, ELKOMIX-90 PL is equipped with all the optional items and units for comfortable operation and concrete production of reinforced concrete pipes. A large 2250/1500 liter ELKON planetary mixer ensures efficient and homogeneous mixing with the use of the water injection system in the mixer.

It is very important that the concrete is produced 100% according to the recipe. To achieve this result, the plant has been equipped with optional equipments: accurate aggregate dosing system, precise water injection system and moisture probes for the sand hoppers and the planetary mixer. For quick and safe verification and testing of concrete quality during mixing, the mixer is equipped with an automatic concrete sampling device as well.

The concrete is transferred to the point of use with the special bucket under the mixer and the dosing conveyor. The automation system integrates the control of the production process on the plant and the machine for producing reinforced concrete pipes.
