ELKON Concrete Batching Plant - RCC Dam Construction in Jordan

The 40 percent of the Al-Wehda Dam Project was carried out by one of the leading jordanian contracting company which is specialized in huge contracting projects.

The Al-Wehda Dam, is a 110 m roller-compacted concrete gravity dam on the Yarmouk River on the border between Syria and Jordan which is designed to provide water source for both human consumption and agriculture for Jordan, a country with limited sources of water.

ELKOMIX-135 Stationary Concrete Batching Plant which is specially equipped with Twinshaft Mixer for RCC Production was chosen for this special project. Thanks to the concrete holding hopper located under the mixer discharge and high speed concrete transfer belt, the produced concrete can be transferred to the job site more rapidly and effectively. RCC Dams have been constructed in order to reduce the construction period and construction cost due to the decrease of cementitious materials.
